Welcome to Color of Golf
Our History
Color of Golf began as a simple but powerful idea in 2017 when founder Dawn Sneed saw how much working professionals—especially women and minorities—were missing out on opportunities happening on the golf course. She started bringing people together to learn the game, build confidence, and use golf as a tool for business growth and career advancement. What started as a small group has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a big mission: to empower least represented groups of professionals and youth through mentorship, networking, and community.
Today, Color of Golf continues to grow and is proudly supported by resources and tools available through Naturally Equipped LLC and other strategic partnerships.
Our Mission
Color of Golf is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering underrepresented professionals, youth, and small business owners by using golf as a catalyst for personal and professional growth. We provide mentorship, leadership development, and intentional networking opportunities that support career advancement and business success. Through inclusive golf events, business workshops, youth programs, and community events, we create pathways for minority, youth, and women professionals to build confidence, expand their networks, and access new opportunities.
Our Vision
We see a future where golf brings people together in powerful ways. We’re building a vibrant community of professionals who grow their businesses, support one another, and give back—on and off the course. Through mentorship, collaboration, and intentional events, we aim to uplift youth, strengthen small businesses, and create lasting impact and relationships. Together, we’re not just playing the game—we’re changing the game, one connection at a time.
